I mainly paint landscapes and am endlessly fascinated with the movement and juxtapositions in the biological and geological aspects of nature, e.g., the infinitesimal dynamics of water dancing in a glacial lake contrasted with the majestically solemn, strong, and un-moving edifice of a rocky mountain behind it, the whispering idiosyncratic movement of tree branches and wild flowers that line the lake, and the play of the light on all of it.

I paint obsessively, and I am constantly trying to hone my craft. I am not formally trained but I learn from experimenting with colors and mediums.

For now, I’ve found watercolor on cold-pressed or rough paper and oil on canvas to be my favorite mediums due to the versatility and ability to mimic the flow and movement of nature more adequately.
